Oliver studied commercial music and contemporary composition at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating in 1994. In his final year he scored British feature film Seaview Knights. He went on to produce albums for both the classical and pop industry working with acts as varied as Toyah Willcox and numerous albums with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Oliver has since scored the music to 15 TV series such as The Cramp Twins, Humf and Skatoony – notching up over 400 episodes.
He has scored over 80 TV ad campaigns both here and in the US including AOL, Blockbuster, EDF, Asda, Persil, Olay & McDonalds. Music for films include ‘Silence is Golden‘, ‘A to Z‘ (Winner Best Music San Gio Film festival), ‘Over The Hill‘, ‘How To Cope With Death‘, ‘The Girl and the Horse‘ and ‘Little Face‘. He has recently recorded his new violin concerto ‘Lost Lake’ at Angel Studios for violinist Jonathan Hill.
