Roger Chapman is the singer best-known in Britain for his work with Family and the 70s r’n'b band Streetwalkers. In the pre-punk era, Roger was an enormous cult figure on the British rock scene, famed for his spectacular showmanship and soaring vibrato. John Peel, the evergreen Radio 1 DJ, vowed that he’d travel colossal distances to catch a Chapman gig. But in the days when 60s musicians were being indiscriminately pensioned off in this country, upstaged by the Sex Pistols and New Wave Music, Roger poured his energies into performing abroad and thus becoming a rock exile. Through talent and resilience, he rebuilt his career in Germany during the 1980s, packing out venues, promoting a spate of successful albums and enjoying a huge European hit with his impassioned rendition of Mike Oldfield’s Shadow on the Wall.

Up to 1993, Chapman only played an occasional clandestine gig in Britain but following his successful Kick It Back tour that year he has maintained more of a UK presence, which continues to develop to this day.

Louis Clark is a phenomenon in the music world. His work unites the world of rock, pop and classical music and he has achieved what many musicians can only dream of – a top five single in Britain and a Number One album in the States.

Louis grew up in Shropshire; he learned the piano and then started music lessons at the age of 14. His musical interests were entirely classical until he was captivated by The Beatles in the 1960′s. Their music was the first contemporary music to have an influence on him.

After leaving school, Louis was bassist for the Raymond Froggatt Band in Birmingham; he also arranged all the orchestral accompaniments. Preferring arranging to playing, Louis left the band to become a full time arranger.
After studying at the City of Leeds College of Music, Louis met Jeff Lynne of the Electric Light Orchestra. Intrigued by the idea of a full orchestra Jeff invited Louis to work on the ELO album, Eldorado. Since then Louis has written all the orchestral arrangements for their albums.

In addition to his work on the ‘Hooked on…’ projects he has also arranged, conducted and produced several other albums including Seriously Orchestral…Hits of Phil Collins and also albums of the music of Queen, The Beatles and Abba. In 1997 Louis recorded a ‘Hooked On…’ style album in China with Chinese Broadcasting Symphony Orchestra consisting of his own arrangements of Classical Chinese and Asian music.

Over the past couple of years Louis has given a ‘Hooked On…’concert in Japan; orchestral concerts of Queen and The Beatles Music in Chile, Argentina, Columbia and Mexico. He also toured the world with ELO Part II for the bands 25th Aniversary.

Louis’ conducted the English Pops Orchestra in December 2011 to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Hooked on Classics at the Bournemouth International Centre (Bournemouth Daily Echo, Review) More concert dates and venues will be announced for a UK tour in the near future.

Harry Escott is best known for his scores to films such as Hard Candy, A Mighty Heart, Deep Water and Shifty. His collaborations with directors such as Michael Winterbottom, Nick Broomfield, David Slade and Eran Creevy have greatly influenced his approach to composition, encouraging a focus on the capacity that musical sound has to convey meaning and emotion. This focus on the potential for music to function as storyteller is a common theme that threads through all of his work, from the concert platform to the big screen.
Born in London, his musical education began as a chorister at Westminster Cathedral and he went on to complete his studies at The Royal College of Music and Oxford University, studying composition under Robert Sherlaw-Johnson and Francis Pott.
He has composed the scores for several award-winning films such as the BAFTA winning Poppy Shakespeare, Michael Winterbottom’s The Road to Guantanamo (Berlin Silver Bear) and Clio Barnard’s The Arbor, for which he received a nomination in the 2011 Cinema Eye awards. He received a coveted BIFA nomination for his scoring of Shifty in 2008 and has developed the score into a concert piece for his own ensemble, The Samphire Band, which was premiered at last year’s Latitude festival.
Earlier this year, Harry worked with the poet Lavinia Greenlaw on an exciting Artangel project called Audio Obscura (a sound installation designed for train station forecourts). It opened in Manchester Piccadilly station as part of the Manchester International Festival 2011 and then moved on to London’s St. Pancras station.
Harry has just completed the score for Steve McQueen’s latest film, Shame, which has picked up a number of prizes from the film festival circuit. Shame will be in cinemas from December 2011.
